Central Minnesota Karate Rank Exam Requirements
  -8th Kyu Testing for 7th Kyu-

For your rank exam, you will be asked to perform the following:

I. Kata	Heian Nidan
II. Kihon	Downward block in front stance. Rising block in front stance. Inside block in front stance. Outside block in front stance. Knife-hand strike in back stance. Elbow strike in middle stance. Single and triple punch. Single and two step front kick. Single and two step roundhouse kick. Side snap and side thrust kick. Combination front kick and single punch.
III. Kumite	Three step sparring. Defense, counter against upper and middle level.

NOTE: Emphasis for this level is placed on overall speed, kicking technique and kumite control.
