Central Minnesota Karate Rank Exam Requirements
  -6th Kyu Testing for 5th Kyu-

For your rank exam, you will be asked to perform the following:

I. Kata	Heian Yondan
II. Kihon	Single and triple punch. Rising block - reverse punch. Inside block - reverse punch. Outside block - elbow strike - reverse punch. Front kick - straight punch combination. Roundhouse kick - reverse punch. Side snap and side thrust kick. Knife-hand strike - front leg front kick - reverse punch.
III. Kumite	One step sparring. Defense and attack against upper and middle level. Counter combinations using kicks and strikes.

NOTE: Emphasis for this level is placed in overall speed, kicking technique and kumite control.
